Coming up, on Bravo.

He's baaaaccck.

Strap yourselves in, bitter kittens:

"THE FASHION SHOW 2
Internationally acclaimed designer Isaac Mizrahi returns for season two of "The Fashion Show," which follows professional designers as they strive to make their mark in the dog-eat-dog world of fashion and compete for a chance to have their winning designs sold for the mass retail market. “The Fashion Show” averaged more than one million viewers in its freshman season. Produced by Left/Right Productions for Bravo with Banks Tarver and Ken Druckerman as executive producers."

Believe it or not, we think this is good news. Better for Bravo to stick with the show and try and salvage it. After the first season of TFS and the not-so-impressive Launch My Line, we were worried that Bravo was going to give up on the fashion competition show the way they've apparently given up on the design competition with the disappearance of Top Design from our screens.

And not only have they not given up on fashion competitions...

"FASHION MASTERS
This original two-hour special will feature some of the world's most talented and successful fashion designers squaring off in the ultimate design competition. These industry leaders will work around the clock to create the perfect looks and prove that they are the best of the best. Magical Elves (“Top Chef”) is producing this special for Bravo with executive producers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz."

Intriguing! Of course the whole concept hinges on just how they define "the world's most successful fashion designers," (we will never stop laughing if it's nothing but a bunch of forgettable Project Runway runners up) but it could be a fun show.

But back to The Fashion Show. We're insanely curious if and how they re-tooled the show. Our Bravo ESP gave us the sense that they had some understanding that the format wasn't working. We once wrote a well-received (and ridiculously, embarrassingly long) report card for the show complete with a bunch of suggestions for a possible Season 2. Believe it or not, we're not so egotistical as to expect any of what we suggested to come to fruition. We DO, however, hope they made SOME sort of changes because the overwhelming consensus, not just online, but in the columns of the few TV critics who actually thought it worthy of writing about at all, was that the premiere season was a joyless, sometimes nasty, let down with way too much in common with the Project Runway format.

Isaac came in for more than his fair share of complaints, but his return doesn't bother us. Quite the opposite. At his best, he's a camera-savvy, rapid fire personality somewhere on the spectrum between Michael Kors and Richard Simmons. At his worst, he's a little "mean girl." Hopefully, his camera-savviness will come through for him on the second go-round. Besides, that press release just says he's returning; it doesn't say what role he'll play. Interestingly, it also doesn't say if anyone else from the first season is returning.

So what do you think, poodles?
